Support instead of flowers—organize a fundraiser!

People on the move can be supported financially in many different ways. The simplest is to donate to the Ocalenie Foundation’s activities via our website, but that’s not the only path.

Several couples, such as Kalina and Orest, and Marta and Konstanty, came up with the idea of asking their wedding guests to donate to Ocalenie instead of gifting them flowers.

What a wonderful gesture! The joy of flowers is short-lived, but an investment in someone’s good life has no expiration date.

The couples contacted us, and we delivered an Ocalenie fundraising box, showered them with good wishes (throwing in a small gift), and made sure that the funds collected were allocated according to their wishes: for statutory purposes or to support a specific program of the foundation.

We sometimes accompany our donors through the most difficult moments too. Several people have asked mourners to support Ocalenie with donations, instead of bringing flowers to their loved ones’ (or their own) funeral. Honoring the deceased in this way makes a world of difference.

Thanks to such initiatives, we can support people with the experience of migration, including refugees, to build a good, safe life in Poland, in the long term and effectively.
