Adult education
The Ocalenie Foundation supports adults with migration experience, including refugees, who face many difficulties in the Polish labor market: language barriers, unfamiliarity with market rules, labor laws and culture, and formal and legal issues related to employment. They also face discrimination and prejudice during recruitment and in the workplace, and their qualifications and experience gained in their country of origin are often not recognized.
Our career counseling team supports foreigners in entering the Polish labor market. During consultations, we help people adapt their previous experience, education, and skills to the Polish reality. We support them in the process of integration and building resilience to difficult situations.

We also run Polish language courses, professional activation programs, and a range of other activities (meetings, workshops, training sessions) aimed at building agency and encouraging people with migration experience, including refugees, to self-advocate and actively participate in social life.
As part of adult education programs, we support both foreigners and the local community. We offer a wide range of workshops related to migration, aimed at facilitating everyday communication and promoting the integration of migrants into Polish society.
Career counseling
Our team of career advisors offers support in five languages, providing individual counseling and group workshops. We support people taking their first steps in a new job market – we help them create a career plan and application documents, advise them on professional development, prepare them for job interviews, and teach them how to search for a job safely and effectively.
Those interested in learning a new profession or confirming their existing skills have the opportunity to take advantage of vocational courses tailored to their individual aptitudes and the realities of the labor market. In previous years, these included courses in: forklift operation, technical drawing in welding, finance, barista skills, and C+E driver’s licenses.
Competency courses
We offer courses and workshops that help foreigners learn new skills. These include digital courses on using computers, the internet, and Google tools, as well as workshops and training sessions that prepare people to effectively navigate the job market. The training program is tailored to the current needs of participants and the requirements of the modern job market. This enables the development of practical skills and increases the chances of finding a job.
Polish language courses
We have been organizing them since 2009. The classes are held thanks to the commitment of volunteers, who are thoroughly prepared and supported by the foundation. The courses are conducted at a basic level. We organize three trimesters of study during the year.
Courses for the host community
We run courses for teachers, principals, and other school staff in the Masovian Voivodeship. These trainings cover a wide range of topics, such as supporting kids with migration experience and their families, overcoming language barriers, dealing with cultural differences, building an inclusive and friendly classroom, and fighting stereotypes and exclusion.
We organize individual counseling, workshops, and trainings for public institutions, including Regional Labor Offices (ROPS) and Civic Integration Centers (CIC), on topics related to migration and the integration of foreigners in Poland.
