Statutory Goals of the Ocalenie Foundation

  1. the protection of human rights;
  2. supporting foreign nationals and persons with migration experience in exercising their rights, as well as in their integration, inclusion, and social and professional activation;
  3. preventing poverty, marginalisation, and social inequalities;
  4. safeguarding health and life;
  5. the education of children and adults, both of foreign origin, with migration experience, and from the host society;
  6. building an open civil society, counteracting racism, xenophobia, prejudice, and discrimination;
  7. promoting and supporting volunteering and other forms of social engagement;
  8. supporting the development of just and effective solutions, including public policies, in the areas of asylum, migration, and integration.

The Foundation’s activities are directed towards:

  1. foreign nationals and persons with migration experience, in particular:
    • persons with refugee experience, including those resettled or relocated to Poland;
    • foreign nationals residing in Poland;
    • Polish citizens returning from emigration;
    • victims of natural disasters, the climate crisis, armed conflicts, and wars, including victims of trauma and torture;
    • groups particularly vulnerable to discrimination, including children, women, LGBTQ+ persons, persons of colour, older persons, persons with disabilities, and persons with irregular residence status;
  2. local communities;
  3. institutions, organisations, and informal groups;
  4. the general public.
